    Jasper’s Prediction:

Saints Beat Point Spread and I take the Under

    Location:

    Date:

Monday November 2, 2009 at 8:30pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
This is going to be a great in-division Monday Night Football game to watch. The Saints are only 1 of 3 teams remaining in the NFL without a loss. Although the Saints really should have lost last week against the Dolphins, I do think they are currently the best team in the league. Be sure to look at the odds to determine your best football betting strategy.

    Falcons:
The Falcons have been having a pretty good year thus far, but I do think their record says they are better than they really are. Atlanta had a tough loss last week against the Cowboys, losing 37-21 in Dallas. The Falcons best team offensive and defensive ranked statistic in the 8 main categories is 11th in defensive total points per game allowed at 19.0. Atlanta is in the middle of the pack of all the key stats.

    Saints:
It’s great to see the Saints having such a great year, and it’s great for the city. Drew Brees and the Saints offense are having an unbelievable year. They are ranked 1st in total points per game and total yards per game in the NFL. Sounds like a formula to having an undefeated record if you ask me. They did sneak out a victory last week against the Dolphins, coming back from a 21 point deficit I believe. But, no matter how you look at that game, the Saints won and found a way to win. That’s what matters! Plus, I think it was good for the team to get a smell of losing to knock them all back into gear.

    Falcons vs Saints Prediction:
The Saints home field advantage is going to make it extremely tough for the Falcons to have a chance in this game. With the Saints undesirable performance last week, I think they are going to go into this game as prepared as ever and prove to the nation that they are the best football team in the league on Monday Night Football. Drew Brees and the Saints offense is just going to be too much to handle for the Falcons defense. Saints win, beat point spread, but don’t put up as many points as they have been this year.

    Location:
    Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin

    Date:
Sunday November 1, 2009 at 4:15pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
This is definitely the game of the week and will be a memorable NFC North in-division rival game. Many people have been awaiting this game as Brett Favre plays against his former team in Green Bay. It will be exciting to watch and hear how the fans react to Favre as he steps on his former turf in a purple jersey. I think the fans are going to cheer their longs out to their former legend quarterback.

    Vikings:
The Vikings started off 6-0, but had their first lost last week against the former Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. They lost 27-17 in Pittsburgh, but those who watched know the Vikings easily could have won that game if their receivers knew who to catch the football. It will be interesting how the Vikings handle their first loss going into a rival match-up, especially with all the emotions that will be surrounding this game and Brett Favre.

    Packers:
The Packers are playing solid football right now on both sides of the field. They had a great game last week against the Browns, winning 31-3 in Cleveland. I know it’s the Browns, but Aaron Rogers and the Packers offense played well. It will be a good confidence builder for them going into this magnified game. All eyes will be on Rogers and Favre throughout this game.

    Vikings vs. Packers Prediction:
This is going to be one heck of a game. It’s tough to win in Lambeau Field, but I am a little surprised the Packers are picked to win this game from all the online betting website sportsbooks. This will be a very emotional game for everyone, especially Brett Favre. But like I have always said about Favre, he always steps his game up under the most pressure and biggest games. Look for him to have another outstanding game, along with Adrian Peterson. Peterson and the entire Vikings team will be playing their hearts out for Favre to make sure they win this game for him. I might get some heat for saying this, but Favre always gives everything he has to win football games and Rogers plays for his statistics. Favre would rather throw 2 interceptions to try and win a football game, rather than take a sack on 3rd down like Rogers does so he doesn’t threaten his stats. Favre wins football games especially in the big stages games like this one. Vikings win big in a high scoring offensive dominated game.

    Texans – Quick Stats:

13th Total points per game 29.3
10th Total yards per game 364.7
3rd Passing yards per game 285.6

    Bills – Quick Stats:
    Buffalo’s Offense NFL Rank
24th Total points per game 16.1

24th Total yards allowed per game 362.9
10th Passing yards allowed per game 190.4
32nd Rushing yards allowed per game 172.4

    Texans vs Bills Prediction:

I think this is going to be a great and close game, but I won’t be surprised if the Texans blow this game open. Houston’s offense has been playing very well and the Bills defense has not been playing well. However, the way these two teams’ offense and defense match up is why I foresee this game being so close. Terrell Owens has still not been playing up to his standards and he is do for a big game. I predict the Texans winning this, but if Owens gets involved in the Bills offense and their defense steps it up, Buffalo could easily win this game.

    Giants vs Eagles Prediction:

In my opinion, home field advantage is going to win this game. It’s in Philadelphia, Eagles win in this great in-division game. The NFC East is arguably the best and toughest division in the NFL. The Eagles came off a good win on Monday Night football this past week against the Redskins, and the Giants are coming off back-to-back loses. I’m afraid to say that the Giants easily could have 3 loses in a row after this game. Philadelphia has the momentum going into this game and the Giants don’t. Eagles win.

    Broncos vs Ravens Prediction:
It’s a little surprising to me to see all the best betting sites having the Ravens as the favorites. I understand it’s in Baltimore, but the Broncos are one of only three teams remaining in the NFL with an undefeated record. Denver’s defense is outstanding and arguably the best in the nation. Also, it’s surprising to me to see Baltimore’s offense ranked better than their defense, and also surprising to see the Broncos defense as the better defense going into this game against the Ravens. I foresee the Broncos winning this game, hence beating the spread.

    Dolphins vs Jets Prediction:
Most people wouldn’t have predicted the Jets having a winning record and the Dolphins have a losing record going into week 8. I definitely am giving the edge to the Jets on this game. Their offense had been looking pretty good, especially their running game, and the Jets defense has been playing extremely well. We will see if the Dolphins great rushing defense can stop the #1 rushing offense in the NFL. Jets win and both teams have great rushing totals.

Although most online betting sites have a very wide point spread for this game, I do think the Bears are going to beat it. In my opinion, Chicago is a much better football team than they are showing. Jay Cutler is still learning the system and getting comfortable with his new teammates. This will be a great confidence game for Chicago in getting ready for the second half of the season. The Browns have really been struggling this year and look for them to struggle again in this game at Chicago.

    Date:
Monday October 26, 2009 at 8:30pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
This will be a good NFC East in-division game to watch on Monday Night Football. I think most people would have predicted both these teams to have a better record going into this game. The Eagles lost a tough game against the Oakland Raiders last week 13-9 in Oakland, and the Redskins lost a tough game as well against the Kansas City Chiefs, 14-6 in Washington. Both teams are coming off disappointing loses and are going to be hungry for a victory. Make sure to search the best football betting websites for point spread and odds.

    Eagles:
The Eagles two best stats going into this game as a team are their total offensive points per game and their passing defense. Currently, they are ranked 6th in total offense points per game at 27.2, and 4th in defense total yards allowed per game at 282.8. Donovan McNabb is going to have to step us his game if the Eagles want a chance at winning this game.

    Redskins:
The Redskins have been having an up and down shaky start thus far. Coach Zorn hasn’t been doing a very good job leading his team, along with quarterback Jason Campbell. The Redskins offense is struggling but their defense is very solid and keeping them alive in every game they have played, led by London Fletcher leading all players in the NFL with 65 tackles. Washington’s defense is respectively ranked 5th in total points allowed per game, 5th in total yards allowed per game, and 3rd in passing yards allowed per game in the NFL. If the Redskins offense has a decent game for once they easily could win this game.

    Eagles vs Redskins Prediction:

In my opinion, defense is going to win this game. On paper, the Redskins have the edge but their offense has really been struggling. Washington hired a consultant to do the offensive play calling, but this will be his first game doing so. Although this game is being played on the Redskins home turf, I do see the Eagles winning a very close and surprisingly high scoring game.
