    Date:

    Pre-Game:

The Cardinal vs Giants should be a good game to watch. New York will be looking to regain their momentum after coming off their first loss of the season last week against the Saints. The Cardinals need this win so they don’t fall to a .500 record, and show they are still worthy of their Super Bowl appearance last year.

    Cardinals:
The Cardinals will be coming out fighting in this game to prove to their fans they can still beat the top teams in the NFL. However, it’s going to be hard to beat the Giants in New York on their home field. Kurt Warner is 6th in passing yards per game, averaging 288.2 yards. Arizona’s most impressive stat thus far in my mind is they are ranked 1st in defense rushing yards allowed per game with only 59.6 yards.

    Giants:
The Giants have been having a great year, but they found out last week that they are not the best team in the league. Their defense was ranked #1 overall, but the Saints wanted to prove they are the best team in the NFL and no defense could stop their prolific offense, which they proved. New York is looking to rebound from that tough loss with playing a great game against the Cardinals. The Giants defense is still ranked #1 in total yards allowed per game and passing yards per game. New York’s offense is ranked 3rd in total points per game averaging 29.7. Eli Manning has been having a pretty solid year all-around thus far.

    Cardinals vs Giants Prediction:
Make sure you do your homework on this game if you are looking to place any football bets. Both teams are going to be very hungry for a victory. I see Eli Manning stepping up to the plate for the Giants to show his leadership skills. He will lead his team to a solid win, throwing for 300+ yards and 3 touchdowns. Giants win by more than a touchdown, and Kurt Warner puts up points as well.

    Jasper’s Prediction:
Vikings Beat Point Spread and I take the Under

    Location:

    Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

    Date:
Sunday October 25, 2009 at 1:00pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:

The Vikings vs Steelers is the game of the week in my book, and I would think most would agree. You will notice the Steelers are favored to win this game although the Vikings are undefeated. That should tell you what home field advantage means in the NFL.

Last week, the Vikings pulled off a close victory against the Baltimore Ravens, 33-31 in Minnesota. Very close and good game as I predicted last week. The Steelers had a fairly easy win against the Cleveland Browns, beating them 27-14 in Pittsburgh.

    Vikings:
Well, the Vikings won again and Brett Favre is 6-0 for the first time in his career. Who would have guessed it would have been with the team in the purple jerseys, the Vikings. Minnesota’s offense is currently ranked 2nd in points per game at 31.5, 14th in total yards per game at 348.2, 17th in passing yards per game at 223.2, and 9th in rushing yards per game at 125.0. The Vikings defense are ranked 18th in points allowed per game at 20.2, 18th in yards allowed per game at 341.8, 24th in pass yards allowed per game at 248.3, and 9th in rushing yards allowed per game at 93.5.

    Steelers:
The Steelers are finally starting to look like defending Super Bowl champs. Pittsburgh’s offense is currently ranked 14th in points per game at 23.3, 5th in total yards per game at 403.7, 2nd in passing yards per game at 296.7, and 15th in rushing yards per game at 107.0. The Steelers defense are ranked 11th in points allowed per game at 18.7, 3rd in yards allowed per game at 275.2, 12th in pass yards allowed per game at 200.7, and 2nd in rushing yards allowed per game at 74.5.

    Vikings vs Steelers Prediction:

This is going to be a great game, and the game of the week. Although the Steelers are picked to win this game outright, I have the Vikings winning this game and therefore beating the point spread betting lines. The main two reasons, Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson. Brett Favre is doing whatever it takes to win football games, and he is getting it done. Last week the Vikings played the Ravens, whose rushing defense was ranked 4th in the NFL, and Peterson still rushed for 143 yards. This game, the Steelers are ranked 2nd in rushing defense but I still see Peterson rushing for 100+ yards. Vikings win a low scoring game.

    Saints vs Dolphins Prediction:
The Saints are arguably the best team in the NFL currently. They are only one of four teams remaining with an undefeated. This is an important game for the Dolphins if they want a chance at making the playoffs. A loss would take them to 2-4, which would be a tough hill to climb. In the end, Saints win, beat point spread and run up the points.

    49ers vs Texans Prediction:

This will be a good game and a close on to watch. The 49ers could easily be 4-1, with one bad game, but they are surprisingly picked to lose against the Texans at Houston. The Texans are an up and down team currently, and I like their chances in this game. Texans win and cover the spread with a high scoring battle.

Look out Tampa Bay. Tom Brady and the Patriots are starting to look like the old Tom Brady and Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. The Bucs have looked horrible all year, and this is going to be another long game for them. Patriots win big and put up points once again.

Broncos Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

    Location:
    Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California

    Date:
Monday October 19, 2009 at 8:30pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
This should be a great game at Qualcomm Stadium against two AFC West teams. The Broncos are one of only five teams left in the NFL that are undefeated, and most people thought the Chargers would have a better record of 2-2 going into week 6. Denver pulled off a close victory last week against the Patriots beating them 20-17 in Denver. The Chargers are coming off a bye week, which was much needed so they can regroup their team and strategy going into this important in-division game.

    Broncos:
I don’t think most people would have predicted the Broncos to be 5-0 at this point. Nonetheless, they are looking extremely solid and deserve to have zero losses. Denver’s offense is currently ranked 22nd in points per game at 19.8, 6th in total yards per game at 376.8, 15th in passing yards per game at 237.8, and 5th in rushing yards per game at 139.0. The Broncos defense are ranked 1st in points per game at 8.6, 2nd in yards per game at 252.8, 5th in pass yards per game at 171.8, and 6th in rushing yards per game at 81.0.

    Chargers:
San Diego’s defense is going to have to step up their game if they want a chance to win this crucial game. Their offense is currently ranked 10th in points per game at 25.2, 10th in total yards per game at 349.2, 2nd in passing yards per game at 295.5, and 32nd in rushing yards per game at 53.8. The Chargers defense are ranked 25th in points per game at 25.5, 26th in yards per game at 365.8, 12th in pass yards per game at 214.8, and 27th in rushing yards per game at 151.0.

    Broncos vs Chargers Prediction:

As the saying goes, defense wins football games. Use smart football betting strategies for this game. If you look at the stats above, Denver’s defense is unstoppable right now and the Chargers are extremely struggling. Although this game is being played in San Diego, I don’t think the home field advantage is going to be enough for the Chargers. Broncos win the game by a touchdown or more.

    Location:
    Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Georgia

    Date:
Sunday October 18, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
I really like this match-up. Two great teams with the same record, 3-1, and unfortunately someone is going to have two losses after this game. The Falcons came off their best win of the season last week against the San Francisco 49ers in San Fran, destroying them 45-10. As for Chicago, they have been looking extremely solid since the first game of the season. Search hard for your favorite football betting websites to find the best odds because this is going to be a great Sunday Night Football Game!

    Bears:
The Chicago Bears easily could be undefeated and tied with the Vikings for first place in their division. Unfortunately for them, they lost their season opener on Sunday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. The Bears definitely do not want to go 0-2 during Sunday Night games. Their offense is currently ranked 7th in points per game at 26.2, 22nd in total yards per game at 305.2, 19th in passing yards per game at 213.8, and 27th in rushing yards per game at 91.5. The Bears defense are ranked 13th in points per game at 19.5, 13th in yards per game at 319.5, 20th in pass yards per game at 226.0, and 9th in rushing yards per game at 93.5.

    Falcons:
The Atlanta Falcons are currently 2nd in the NFC South Conference, behind the undefeated New Orleans Saints. Atlanta’s offense is currently ranked 9th in points per game at 25.5, 13th in total yards per game at 346.5, 14th in passing yards per game at 240.2, and 15th in rushing yards per game at 106.2. The Falcons defense are ranked 4th in points per game at 15.8, 20th in yards per game at 355.8, 22nd in pass yards per game at 228.8, and 24th in rushing yards per game at 127.0.

    Bears vs Falcons Prediction:

Although the Falcons are coming off an unbelievable showing against the 49ers and the Bears are coming off a by week, home field advantage is going to be the determining factor for this game. Therefore, the Falcons win because it’s in Atlanta. If this game were in Chicago the Bears would win. These are two great teams that match-up extremely close on both offense and defense. It’s going to be a close game and a fun one to watch. In the end, Falcons win in front of their home crowd and beat the point spread.

    Location:

    Date:
    Sunday October 18, 2009 at 1:00pm

    Pre-Game:
This game is going to be a great showdown. On paper this a closer match-up than most people think, and that is why you will notice only a 3 point spread on this game at most of your favorite online betting websites. Both teams have a great offense and defense. Last week, the Vikings beat the St. Louis Rams 38-10 in St. Louis making them one of only five teams in the NFL with an undefeated record. The Ravens had a tough loss last week at home losing to the Cincinnati Bengals by 3 points, 17-14. Baltimore has now fallen into a two way tie for second place in their division with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    Ravens:

The Baltimore Ravens easily could be leading their division, so don’t let their 3-2 record fool you. Their offense is currently ranked 5th in points per game at 27.6, 5th in total yards per game at 382.2, 10th in passing yards per game at 248.6, and 6th in rushing yards per game at 133.6. The Ravens defense are ranked 12th in points per game at 19.4, 10th in yards per game at 314.0, 26th in pass yards per game at 238.0, and 4th in rushing yards per game at 76.0.

    Vikings:

It’s no surprise to see the Vikings undefeated going into week 6. They are a well balanced and solid team on both sides of the football. Their offense is currently ranked 3rd in points per game at 31.2, 19th in total yards per game at 332.6, 17th in passing yards per game at 216.0, and 11th in rushing yards per game at 116.6. The Vikings defense are ranked 10th in points per game at 18.0, 14th in yards per game at 320.6, 18th in pass yards per game at 224.6, and 10th in rushing yards per game at 96.0.

    Ravens vs Vikings Prediction:

In my opinion, this game could easily be closer than people think. If you look at total team stats for both teams for both offense and defense, the Ravens probably have the slight edge. Although I want to predict this game as being extremely close, with the potential of the Ravens winning this game out-right, I have to say the Vikings will win by at least 6 points. Minnesota is playing to good right now with two solid wins the last two weeks against the Packers, and a 28 point victory against the Rams. Additionally, I foresee Adrian Peterson having a great game against the tough defense of the Ravens.
