    Jasper’s Prediction:
Eagles Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

    Location:

    Date:
Sunday November 22, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:

I think this is going to be a good game and a very high scoring game, especially if the weather is nice in Chicago. Both teams lost last week, the Eagles to the Chargers, 31-23 and the Bears to the 49ers 10-6. Do your research on these two teams before going to any us betting sites. Looks like the current point spread is 3 on most of the top sportsbooks.

    Eagles:
Both teams desperately need to win this game, but I think it’s more important for the Eagles. Philadelphia still has a good chance in getting to the playoffs, and I think they are a way better football team than what their record shows at 5-4. They are 5th in the NFL for total points per game at 26.9, and are 9th and 10th in the league in several other of the main key offensive and defensive stats. But, they are not the 9th or 10th best team in the league. Maybe this game will be a turning point for their organization in getting them back on the right track.

    Bears:
Chicago really needs to win this game as well to have a chance at a wild card birth, but I think it’s a bigger and more important game for the Eagles. Chicago has been having an extremely up and down year. I thought for sure Chicago would have a much better record than 4-5 going into week 11. Jay Cutler has really been playing poorly, and not what the Chicago fans were hoping for. I believe Cutler threw 5 interceptions in last week’s game alone and is leading all quarterbacks in interceptions. With his poor play and their rushing offense the 3rd worst in the league, it’s going to be a long rest of the season for the Bears if they don’t start turning it around very soon.

    Eagles vs Bears Prediction:

Getting right to the point, I predict the Eagles winning this game because they have more to play for. The home field advantage for the Bears is huge for them and will play a big role, but Donovan will step up this game and lead his team to victory. Eagles beat the point spread in a high scoring offensive battle.

Dolphins vs Panthers Bodog.com Betting Odds and Money Line:

    Jasper’s Prediction:

Panthers Beat Point Spread and I take the Under

    Location:
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina

    Date:
Thursday November 19, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
This will be a key game for both teams to reposition themselves in their division and for a future wild card to make it into the playoffs. The Dolphins beat the Buccaneers last week, 25-23 in Miami. The Panthers also won in week 10, beating the Falcons 28-19 in Carolina.

    Dolphins:
The Dolphins running game seems to be the only thing Miami is doing right. They are currently ranked 4th in the NFL in rushing yards per game with 156.2 per game. Very impressive, unlike their passing game where they rank 3rd to last in the league with a measly 160.0 yards per game. The Dolphins passing game is going to have to step up to the plate if they want to win this pivotal match-up.

    Panthers:
The Panthers also have been relying heavily on their running game. They are ranked 3rd in the league in rushing, just ahead of the Dolphins, with 156.6 yards per game. Carolina’s defense has only been playing well in stopping the passing game, which shouldn’t be of much concern going into this game with the Dolphins ranked 3rd to last in that statistic. The Panthers are holding their competitors to an impressive 186.4 passing yards per game.

    Dolphins vs Panthers Prediction:
Well, if you look at both teams main statistics on both offense and defense you will notice this is going to be a running battle game. With that being said, I think the winner will be the team that has the most passing yards, simple football strategy. This game will be won by the quarterbacks, not the running backs. We will see which quarterback steps their game up for this crucial game. I predict Jake Dolhomme of the Panthers to win the QB battle and lead his team to victory. Carolina wins a lower scoring game than predicted.

17th Rushing yards allowed per game 110.0

    Jets vs Patriots Prediction:
Both these teams are in the AFC East and rival in-division games are always fun to watch, anything can happen. The Patriots are coming off a tough loss against the Colts last Monday Night, losing 35-34 in Indianapolis. I predicted the Patriots to win that game and give the Colts their first loss of the season, and for most of the game I thought for sure it was going to happen. Tom Brady will find a way to lead his team to the Super Bowl. As for the Jets, they lost a close game as well last week against the Jaguars. They played in New York and lost 24-22. The Jets defense has been playing great football in my opinion, they just need to get their offense going a little better. I predict the Patriots winning this game fairly easily on their home field.

5th Passing yards allowed per game 186.7
12th Rushing yards allowed per game 105.6

    Chargers vs Broncos Prediction:
I predict this being an extremely close AFC West divisional game. It appears that even the online betting websites are struggling with the odds for this game. Both teams are 6-3, and the winner will be at the top of their division. Look for both teams to leave everything they have on the field. The Chargers are starting to play more consistent football and beat the Eagles last week 31-23 in San Diego. On the other hand, the Broncos are starting to play less consistently and lost to the Redskins last week 27-17 in Washington. The tide seems to be turning within their division, and this will be a great game to watch. The Broncos defense is very solid, but they can’t continue to win all the games for the team. Denver’s offense is going to have to step it up against the Chargers if they want to win. However, the tide is turning in my book for the division and I predict the Chargers winning a close and low scoring game.

    Saints vs Buccaneers Prediction:
Well, all I think I can say about this game is that it’s an in-division game and anything can happen. Might want to add this game to your football parlay bets. The Saints are 9-0 going into week 11, and are one of only two teams undefeated in the NFL. In my opinion, New Orleans is one of the four best teams in the league, and I say that because just look above at their defense stats. I understand the Saints haven’t lost yet, but I don’t think they can win a Super Bowl with their current defensive play. Drew Brees’ arm can’t win every game for them, but if their defense starts playing better his arm can and will. Tampa Bay has been playing well these past two weeks with the changes they have made. They won two weeks ago against the Packers and barely lost last week in Miami to the Dolphins, losing 25-23. Saints win a high scoring game.

The Vikings are still playing outstanding football, and my pre-year football prediction is still looking good with the Vikings making it to the Super Bowl. Packers are still so stupid in my book for letting him go. Seattle lost to the Cardinals last week, 31-20 in Arizona and the Vikings beat the Lions 27-10 in Minnesota. Seattle still hasn’t figured out their running game, and they need to if they want a chance at beating one of the four best teams in the NFL. Redskins vs Cowboys Prediction:
This will be a good NFC East battle, mainly because the Redskins played a great game last week against the Broncos, defeating them 27-17 in Washington, and the Cowboys lost to the Packers 17-7. I’m a little surprised seeing the point spread this wide on the football betting websites. If this game were played in Washington, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the Redskins won. But it’s not this go-around. Dallas has still been playing very inconsistent in my book, and the Redskins defense has been playing very well. If Washington can keep pressure on Tony Romo and win the turnover battle, they might have a good shot at winning. For some reason I predict this game to be high scoring, the Redskins offense stepping it up a notch, with the Cowboys winning by a touchdown or less. I don’t care what these two teams records are, this is a huge rival match-up and in-division game.

Well, what can I say, the Colts won again on Sunday Night Football. They squeaked out another win, and a game I thought they were going to lose. The Colts beat the Patriots 35-34, and the Ravens won on Monday Night Football beating the Browns 16-0. This game will be Colts offense vs Ravens defense. Although I predict the Colts winning that battle, I do think this is going to be a very close and low scoring game. Indianapolis is bound to lose a game soon, but they are still undefeated at 9-0 going into Week 11. Very impressive! If the Colts want to play in the Super Bowl, they need to step-up their running game. They are currently ranked 4th to last in that category. Colts win a close game and don’t beat the point spread on the best online betting sites.

    Date:
Monday November 16, 2009 at 8:30pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
This will be a good AFC North division battle, especially since it is being played in Cleveland. The Browns best chance at beating the Ravens is on their home turf. Baltimore is coming off a loss last week against the Bengals, losing 17-7 in Cincinnati, and the Browns are coming off a bye week.

    Ravens:
I am very surprised to see the Ravens 4-4 going into week 10. In my opinion, they are a much better football team than .500, and they have been playing consistent on both offence and defense. Maybe a win this week will get them back on the winning track.

    Browns:
Cleveland has really been struggling this year with a 1-7 record thus far. Their offense has really been playing poorly, and their defense hasn’t been supporting the team much either. They are ranked last in passing yards per game, second to last in total yards per game, and third to last in points per game at only 9.8 points. Their defense is allowing the most total yards per game and the second most rushing yards per game than any other team in the NFL.

    Ravens vs Browns Prediction:
It’s good to be a Cavaliers fan right now, but not a Browns fan. I predict the Ravens to win this game fairly easily and beat the football betting point spread. The home field advantage for the Browns is sure going to help, but they are going to need much more help if they want to win this game. If Cleveland can win the turnover battle and their offense has a better than average game, the Browns will have a shot. The odds are against them, so I am picking the Ravens to win.

    Location:

    Date:
Sunday November 15, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
Wow, what a phenomenal game this is going to be and the game of the week in my book! It’s great to be a football fan and watch these two great teams playing on Sunday Night Football. Both teams are leading their perspective division, and the Colts are one of only two teams remaining in the NFL with and undefeated record.

    Patriots:
The Patriots have won 3 in a row, and are starting to look like Super Bowl Champions again. They arguably have the best offense in the league, maybe just behind the Saints, and their defense has been playing outstanding. New England beat the Dolphins last week 27-17, with Tom Brady throwing for 332 yards and Randy Moss having 147 reception yards. Look out Indy, the Brady/Moss duo is back in form and they are the biggest combo weapon in all of football.

    Colts:
What can I say about the Colts, they are 8-0. Peyton Manning is a true leader in bringing this football team together with all the off-season changes and distractions. Even the most die-hard Colt fans I think are even a little surprised to see their football team 8-0 going into week 10. But trust me, they aren’t complaining one bit. The Colts did squeeze out a victory last week against the Texans, winning a very close game 20-17, and almost suffered their first lost. The Texans missed a 42 yard field goal in the closing seconds to send it in overtime. Oh, and that game was played in Indianapolis.

    Patriots vs Colts Prediction:

What a game this is going to be! I think even the best experts will struggle giving sound betting football tips for this game. Both Tom Brady and Payton Manning have thrown 16 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions. Both quarterbacks are in the top 3 in virtually ever main important statistic. Although the Patriots have lost 2 games thus far, the Patriots have been playing better and more consistent football than the Colts these past 4 weeks. Tom Brady is back to his old self, and has worked out the kinks over the first several games coming back from his year long injury. The Colts were threatened last week from having their first loss of the season to the Texans, but the Patriots are a much better team than that of Houston. Before the start of the season I predicted the Patriots to make it to the Super Bowl, and this game will prove everyone why my gut was telling me so. The Brady and Moss weapon will be too much to handle for the Colts defense, and I see them giving the Colts their first loss of the season. Patriots win a lower scoring game than predicted.

    Jasper’s Prediction:

Patriots Win, Beat Point Spread and I take the Under
