6th Rushing yards allowed per game 97.8

Chicago Bears vs Baltimore Ravens Prediction:
A must win for the Ravens to have any hopes in playing the postseason. The Bears on the other hand having nothing to lose. The Ravens crushed the Lions last week, beating them 48-3, in Baltimore. The Bears lost a close game to the Packers, losing 21-14 in Chicago. Be sure to check the best betting football sites for betting odds on this game. As I have been saying for the past several weeks, the Ravens are a much better team than 7-6 and should be playing in the playoffs with no sweat, but they have been making it difficult on themselves. Baltimore needs to run the table at having a shot of playing a 17th game. I do predict the Ravens beating the Bears and point spread in a low scoring game.

    Jasper’s Prediction:
Cardinals Beat Point Spread and I take the Under

    Location:
    Candlestick Park, San Francisco, California

    Date:

Monday December 14, 2009 at 8:30pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
We have a good NFC West battle for this weeks Monday Night Football game. The Cardinals are out on top in their division with an 8-4 record, and the 49ers are in second place with a 5-7 record. This will be a must win situation for San Francisco if they want any hopes of making the playoffs, and will need some help from other teams. The 49ers will need to run the table and the Cardinals would have to lose 2 of their next 3 games for San Fran to make the playoffs.

    Arizona Cardinals:
The Cardinals have been having an interesting season in my opinion, but nonetheless they are on top of their division and should easily be making the playoffs this year. Arizona played an outstanding game last Sunday Night against the Vikings, beating them 30-17 in Arizona. Larry Fitzgerald played a great game with 143 receiving yards in their big victory against the dominate Vikings. If the Cardinals continue to play like they did last week, they will have a pretty good chance at making a consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

    San Francisco 49ers:
This game is a must win for San Francisco. The 49ers suffered another tough and close loss last week against the Seahawks, losing 20-17 in Seattle. If San Francisco wants to have a chance at winning this game they need to step up their running game. They are currently ranked #28 in the NFL is rushing yards per game with a horrible 91.2 yards, which also makes them ranked #28 in the league in total yards per game with only 285.4 yards. Not the formula you want for success. The 49ers offense needs to kick it up a gear.

Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction:
Another in-division game this week on Monday Night Football. The best football betting websites are showing a smaller point spread than I expected. I understand this game is being played in San Francisco which is huge for the 49ers, but the Cardinals played so good last week that I find it hard for them not to play another great game. If the 49ers can get their running game going, puts lots of pressure on Kurt Warner and keep the ball out of Larry Fitzgerald’s hands, San Francisco will have a legitimate chance at winning. But, to do all three of those things are going to be very difficult. With that being said, I predict the Cardinals to play another great game like last week and beat the point spread.

    Jasper’s Prediction:
Giants Win, Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

    Location:
Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey

    Date:
Sunday December 13, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:

What an outstanding Sunday Night Football game this is going to be with the Eagles vs Giants. As you notice from the top betting websites, this is predicted to be a very close game. The Eagles and Giants are battling for top position in the NFC East division, along with the Cowboys, in the tightest divisional race in the NFL. Philadelphia and Dallas are 8-4, with the Giants one game back at 7-5. This game is crucial for both teams in fighting for playoff rights.

    Philadelphia Eagles:
The Eagles have been playing pretty well this year and consistent for the most part. Last week against the Falcons, Philadelphia played phenomenal beating them 34-7 in Atlanta. The Eagles best stat, and probably most important stat of the Big 8 as I call them, is they are ranked #6 in the NFL in points per game with an average of 27.2 points. In my opinion, that is why Philadelphia is tied with Dallas at the top of their division because they are putting up 27+ points per game. Michael Vick had a great game against his former team last week, and if the Eagles can keep utilizing Vick in a smart way they will be that much more difficult to stop.

    New York Giants:

The New York Giants have been playing extremely inconsistent in my book, and their fans have been on a rollercoaster ride with them. Before the season, I did predict the Giants making the playoffs and I want to stick by that prediction but they need to play more consistent football if they want to play in the post season. The Giants did play a solid game last week against the Cowboys in New York, beating them 31-24. To me, that game looked like the Giants in the start of the season and how they should be playing with all the talent on their team. The main thing I am worried about regarding the Giants is the amount of points their opposing teams are putting up. New York’s defense is allowing 23.8 points per game which ranks them #25 in the entire league. In all other 7 major categories they are ranked no worse than 12th. The Giants defense needs to do whatever it takes to not allow so many points being put up against them.

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants Prediction:
I predict this being another great Sunday Night Football game, especially since it’s being played in New York. These two teams hate each other and will be clawing their way through this game to be placed on the top of their division. If the Giants win and the Cowboys lose to the Chargers, which could easily happen, there would be a 3-way tie for first in the NFC East division with all teams having an 8-5 record. That just goes to show you how much is riding on this game. I do predict this game being very close just at the top betting websites are showing, and I am going to have to give the home field team the slight advantage in this game. These two teams match up very close on all aspects, and I will be giving the Giants the slight favored edge. Giants win, beat point spread in a high scoring offensive showdown.

Giants Win, Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

Steelers Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

    Location:
    Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio

    Date:
Thursday December 10, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
Well, normally I wouldn’t say this is going to be a very close Thursday Night Football game, but you never know with the way the Steelers have been playing as of late. I mean seriously, what is the Steelers deal? If they keep playing the way they are, Pittsburgh won’t even be playing in the playoffs and have a chance to defend their Super Bowl title. I understand the Steelers have had more than their share of injuries this year, but even so they are a much better team than .500 going into Week 14.

    Pittsburgh Steelers:

In my opinion, the Steelers need to run the table if they want any chance at playing in the post season. Pittsburgh lost to the Raiders last week, 27-24 on their home turf nonetheless. The Steelers offensive stats are better than a team with a 6-6 record and their defensive stats are even better with a #1 NFL ranking in rushing yards allowed per game. We will see if the Steelers can use this game as a momentum builder for the rest of the season.

    Cleveland Browns:
The Browns have just been struggling this year since game one. On a more positive note, they only lost by 7 points, 30-23, last week against the now 9-3 Chargers in Cleveland. Of the 8 main key statistics including both offense and defense, the Browns rank 4th to last to last in 5 of the 8 categories. Cleveland fans just have to accept it and consider this another team rebuilding year.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns Prediction:
The Steelers are playing the Browns this week for the Thursday Night Football game. Both teams are in the AFC North division, and this will be a pivotal game for Pittsburgh. The Steelers must win this game in order to stay alive in the playoff hunt. If they were do lose this game they can say bye-bye to defending their Super Bowl Championship. With that being said, the Steelers have much more to play for in this game than do the Browns. Cleveland has been struggling this year, and I predict the Steelers winning this game fairly easily and beating the point spread.

Steelers Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

San Diego Chargers vs Dallas Cowboys Prediction:
Get ready for a battle! This could easily be the game of the week! The Chargers are leading the AFC West and the Cowboys are leading the NFC East. One of the main reasons why I think this is going to be such a great game is because it’s being played in Dallas. If it where in San Diego, the Chargers would win hands down. The Cowboys know they need to win in order to stay at the top of their division and with another loss last week against the Giants, Dallas knows there is no more room for screwing around. San Diego is on a roll and they won another game last Sunday against the Browns. This is a very good match-up and I think will be a very close game. I predict the Chargers to squeeze by the Cowboys in a very close and high scoring game.

Carolina Panthers vs New England Patriots Prediction:
With all do respect to the Carolina fans, this game is going to be a blowout, especially since it’s being played on New England’s home turf. I understand the Patriots haven’t been playing well the past several weeks, but their loss to the Dolphins last week is going to be their eye opener. The Patriots know they are a Super Bowl contender, and I don’t see them losing another regular season game. From here on out, they are going to start making statements on how good of a football team they really are. Blowouts from here on out. The Panthers did win last week against the Bucs, 16-6 in Carolina, but they are going to have to play their best game of the year if they want a chance at beating the Patriots. I predict the Patriots winning by more than 2 touchdowns!

Cincinnati Bengals vs Minnesota Vikings Prediction:
My, what a game this is going to be! Both the Bengals and Vikings are leading their respective divisions. To be completely honest, I am very surprised to see the Bengals with a 9-3 record going into Week 14. How are they doing it? Well, if you look at their stats their defense is playing outstanding! They are currently ranked #1 in the NFL in points per game allowed, that is one main reason to have a 9-3 record. In my opinion, this is a more crucial game for the Vikings to see how they rebound against a great team after their tough loss to the Cardinal last week on Sunday Night Football. Minnesota lost to the Cardinals, 30-17 in Arizona. The Cincinnati fans will hate me for saying this but this is a bigger game for the Vikings because they have a more legitimate chance at playing in the Super Bowl than the Bengals, and if the Vikings can play a great game and win then they will prove themselves as a definite Super Bowl contender. The Bengals offense just isn’t showing enough to me to be World Champions. With that being said, I predict the Vikings having a great game, winning, and beating the point spread in a high scoring game.

Miami Dolphins vs Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction:
Surprising, this is going to be a great game. Both these teams match-up extremely well against one another, and are about as equal as two teams can get on paper. This is also going to be a great game to watch because it’s a crucial one for both teams. The Dolphins have a chance at winning their division this year with the Patriots suffering several losses over the past several weeks. The Jaguars won’t win their division with the Colts ahead of them, but they are a front runner for a wild card playoff birth. The Dolphins beat the Patriots last week in a barn burner, beating them by 1 point 22-21 in Miami. The Jaguars beat the Texans 23-18 in Jacksonville. For this game, I am predicting the Jaguars to pull out a close victory against the Dolphins in a low scoring game.

Denver Broncos vs Indianapolis Colts Prediction:
Now this is going to be a fun game to watch. The Broncos are 1 game behind to lead their division and the Colts are on top of their division with a 12-0 record going into Week 14. Denver blew out the Chiefs last week 44-13 in Kansas City, and the Colts beat the Titans 27-17 in Indianapolis. Payton Manning continues to lead his team towards a perfect regular season record and Super Bowl appearance. From my understanding, the Colts have won 21 consecutive regular season games, tying the all-time NFL record. That pressure alone towards breaking a milestone record could be enough to distract the Colts and throw them off their game. Don’t be surprised if the Broncos win this game with their outstanding defense. Defense does win football games and the Broncos have proved that theory correct once again this year, just look at their stats above. There is a lot on the line for both these teams, but I do predict the Colts winning this game, beating the point spread, and breaking the NFL regular season consecutive winning steak record.

New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons Prediction:
This easily could be a close and great NFC South in-division game to watch for several reasons. It’s a rivalry game, the Falcons must win to stay in the playoff picture, the Saints have been squeaking out victories as of late, the Saints are still undefeated, and it’s being played in Atlanta. Several great reasons to watch this game. The Saints won in overtime last week against the Redskins, 33-30 in Washington, and the Falcons lost to the Eagles 34-7 in Atlanta. Although this could be a close game, I do predict the Saints beating the Falcons and point spread in a low scoring game. New Orleans just has too many weapons for Atlanta to handle in this game.

    Jasper’s Prediction:
Saints Beat Point Spread and I take the Under
