    Date:
Monday December 7, 2009 at 8:30pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
Looks like we are going to have a pretty solid game to watch on Monday Night Football. Both teams are in second place in their respected division, fighting for a top position or a wild card playoff birth. This is a pivotal and crucial game for both the Ravens and Packers. Green Bay beat the Lions last week on Thanksgiving Day, 34-12 in Detroit and the Ravens beat the Steelers 20-17 in Baltimore on Sunday Night. We will see what team comes up with the better football strategy, this should be a great and exciting game to watch.

    Baltimore Ravens:
As I keep saying about the Ravens, they are a better football team than a 6-5 record going into Week 13, and that’s why Baltimore is going to give the Packers all they can handle. The Ravens offense has been playing pretty well and their defense has been playing even better. The Ravens defense is ranked 4th in the NFL in total points per game allowed at an impressive 17.1 points. If Baltimore’s offense could just put up a few more points per game they would be leading their division.

    Green Bay Packers:
The Packers main statistics on offense and defense are very good, but they have had a very easy schedule of teams to play against. And, when they play good teams they get beat up pretty bad. I mean look at most of their wins; Bears, Browns, Lions twice, 49ers, Rams. Come on, and they lost to the Bucs and the Vikings have owned them during their two match-ups. Green Bay is close, but they still have a ways to go if they want to be a Super Bowl contender.

Baltimore Ravens vs Green Bay Packers Prediction:

I predict this being a great Monday Night Football game, especially since it’s being played in Green Bay. On paper the Packers have the better team, but I like the Ravens in this game. Until Aaron Rogers finds a way to win games, like Brett Favre does, and doesn’t just concentrate on building his stats, the Packers consistency will be thrown out the window. In the NFL it’s all about playing consistent football on both offense and defense. If Rogers doesn’t sit in the pocket for too long and take sacks all day, the Packers will have a very good chance at winning this game. However, I do predict the Ravens defense putting lots of pressure on Rogers and throwing him off his game. In the end I foresee the Ravens winning this game and beating the point spread in a lower scoring game.

Vikings Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

    Location:

    Date:
Sunday December 6, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
Well, looks like we have another great Sunday Night Football game to watch. Both the Vikings and Cardinals are on top of their division in the NFC Conference. The Vikings have a 3 game lead in the NFC North and the Cardinals have a 2 game lead in the NFC West. It looks like most of the best online betting sites I have seen are predicting the Vikings to win. Guess we will see if the sportsbooks are right and what team, if either, can achieve home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

    Minnesota Vikings:
I have said it before and I will say it again, the Vikings are the real deal and Brett Favre will lead them to the Super Bowl. Minnesota is an impressive 10-1 with their only loss to the Steelers. The Vikings played another near perfect game last week against the Bears, defeating them 36-10 in Minnesota. Brett Favre has helped lead his team to top 10 statistics in every major offensive category, with the most impressive placing the Vikings #2 in the NFL in points per game averaging an aggressive 31.1 points.

    Arizona Cardinals:
The Cardinals are definitely having an up and down season, inconsistency. Arizona hasn’t had too much to worry in their division with them being the only team with a winning record. I did predict the Cardinals to make the playoffs again this year before the season started, but they will have to play much more consistent football if they want another Super Bowl appearance. The Cardinals lost last week to the red hot Titans, losing 20-17 at Tennessee. If Arizona wants a good shot at beating the Vikings, their defense has to play better!

Minnesota Vikings vs Arizona Cardinals Prediction:

Get ready for another great Sunday Night Football game, with two divisional leaders battling it out for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. In my opinion, if you want to beat the Vikings you need to have a great defense to slow down their prolific offense. The Cardinals are ranked 4th to last in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game, and that’s not the kind of statistic you want going up against the #1 passer rating quarterback in the league, Brett Favre. I predict the Vikings offense alone being too much to handle for the Cardinals defense, which will halt the Vikings on top. Minnesota beats the point spread in a high scoring offensive game.

Vikings Beat Point Spread and I take the Over

    Jasper’s Prediction:

Bills Win, Beat Point Spread and I take the Under

    Location:
    Rogers Centre, Buffalo, New York

    Date:
Thursday December 3, 2009 at 8:20pm Eastern Time

    Pre-Game:
Get ready for an AFC East showdown on Thursday Night Football. The Jets desperately need this win to have any chance at a wild card. If Buffalo runs the table I don’t think a 9-7 record will make the playoffs this year. The Jets are a small favorite to win and you might want to add this game to your football parlay bets with the favorable odds towards the Bills.

    New York Jets:
In my opinion the Jets are a better football team than 5-6 going into Week 13, and their statistics show the same even with a rookie quarterback. New York is ranked #2 in the league in 3 main categories, 1 for offense and 2 for defense. The Jets at ranked second in rushing yards per game in the NFL with 161.3 yards, and second in the league in total yards allowed per game and total passing yards allowed per game. Those are outstanding team stats for a team less than .500. The Jets beat the Panthers last week in New York 17-6, and we will see if they can keep their winning streak alive.

    Buffalo Bills:

Although I never predicted the Bills to have a great year, I did think they possibly could have a back door chance at being a wild card. However, my thoughts behind that was having Terrell Owens being a much bigger factor for the Bills and having more than 3 touchdowns going into Week 13. Until the Bills figure out their offense, they won’t be better than a .500 team. The Bills did play a great game last week against the Dolphins, dominating them 31-14 in Buffalo. We will see if they can keep the momentum going.

New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills Prediction:

The Jets and the Bills may not have the best record in the NFL, but there is nothing wrong with watching a great Thursday Night in-division showdown. Statistically, the Jets have the edge but I was really impressed with the Bills performance last week against the Dolphins, who really need a win. I predict this game being a close one, but in the end I foresee the Bills offense taking control of the game and edging out the Jets. Buffalo wins a low scoring game and beats the point spread.

10th Passing yards per game 254.1

4th Total yards allowed per game 290.5
4th Passing yards allowed per game 182.6
11th Rushing yards allowed per game 107.8

Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants Prediction:
As you can notice from the top betting sites this is going to be an exciting NFC East game with the point spread being so close. I understand this game is being played on the Giants home turf, but I’m a little surprised to see the point spread that close. Both the Cowboys and Giants played last Thursday on Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys beat Oakland 24-7 in Dallas, and the Giants lost to the Broncos 26-6 in Denver. These two teams do match-up well against one another, and I predict the Cowboys to beat the point spread in a low scoring game.

24th Passing yards allowed per game 233.4
29th Rushing yards allowed per game 159.9

San Diego Chargers vs Cleveland Browns Prediction:
The San Diego Chargers are at the top of the AFC West division and the Cleveland Browns are at the bottom of the AFC North division. It is appearing the Chargers have found their tracks and they have been playing great football these last several weeks, just like everyone predicted them to do in the start of the season. The Chargers crushed the Chiefs in San Diego last week, beating them 43-14. The Browns almost upset the Bengals last week in Cinci, losing 16-7. It’s going to take a lot for the Browns to beat the Chargers, so I predict San Diego beating the point spread and winning a lower scoring game than anticipated.

Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction:
This should be a fun AFC South divisional game to watch in Jacksonville. The Texans are coming off a tough loss last week against the Colts, 35-27 in Houston. I say tough loss because that game was too an in-division game and the Texans were leading a majority of the game, starting 17-0. The Jaguars on the other hand played a poor game against the 49ers in San Fran, losing 20-3. Although I predict this being a very close game, I am going with the Jaguars winning a higher scoring game than predicted and beating the point spread.

New Orleans Saints vs Washington Redskins Prediction:
Well, what can I say, the Saints are undefeated at 11-0. New Orleans is playing great football and one of only two teams in the NFL with 0 loses, the Colts being the other. The Saints played an outstanding game on the heavily hyped Monday Night Football game against the Patriots, controlling the game and winning 38-17 in New Orleans. The Redskins on the other hand lost another very close game against the Eagles, 27-24 in Philadelphia. I predict this game being closer than most people might think. It’s being played in Washington and the Redskins defense is pretty solid and matches up well against the Saints. New Orleans will win, but it’s going to be a close and low scoring game.

Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts Prediction:
This should be a great AFC South divisional game! The Titans have won 5 in a row and the Colts have won 11 consecutive games, making them one of only two teams remaining in the NFL with an undefeated record. The Titans won a great game last week against the Cardinals, defeating them 20-17 in Tennessee, while the Colts won the offensive shootout against the Texans 35-27 in Houston. It would be great to see the Titans continue their winning streak since putting Vince Young in as quarterback, but I think the buck stops here for Tennessee. I still think Indianapolis’ defense needs to start playing better if they want to win a Super Bowl, but for this game their defense should be enough to beat the Titans. I predict the Colts to beat the point spread in a high scoring game.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Atlanta Falcons Prediction:

I really like this match-up, and I do think this will be a great game because it’s being playing in Atlanta. The Eagles won a close game last weak against the Redskins, beating them 27-24 in Philadelphia. The Falcons also only won by 3 points last week against the Bucs in Atlanta. The winner of the game will also heavily depend on whether Matt Ryan will be healthy and playing. If the Falcons defense could step it up a little, Atlanta would have another great team and year. However, the Falcons defense has not been playing well and will ultimately lose this game for their team. Eagles beat the point spread in a high scoring game.
