    2010 LPGA U.S. Women’s Review:
This week’s LPGA Tour Golf Tournament is the U.S. Women’s Open at the prestigious Oakmont Country Club. This event is anticipated to be extremely exciting for several reasons; it’s a Major on the LPGA Tour, the venue is outstanding at Oakmont Country Club, and for the first in about 16 years a United States players is ranked #1, Cristie Kerr. Lots to look forward to for U.S. golf fans!

LPGA U.S. Women’s Open Golf Picks:

As mentioned above, Cristie Kerr took over the #1 ranking in the world for women’s professional golf! She took over the ranking from Ai Miyazato, who has been dominating on the LPGA Tour in 2010, after the LPGA Championship. Kerr won by an astonishing 12 strokes in that Major, and rightfully deserves the #1 ranking.

Oakmont is going to be an extreme test for these women. If you remember, Angel Cabrera won the men’s U.S. Open a few years back with a total score of +5. It wouldn’t be a surprise if +10 win this Major for the women. Ok, with all that being said, women who are long hitters and those who putt well on these tricky greens will have the best chance at winning this U.S. Open Championship. This boils it down to 4 players in my book; Kerr, Pettersen, Wie and Miyazato. All four players’ have a great game for this golf course. I like Creamer as well, but am a little worried about her wrist injury in this thick rough. If she stays strong she will have a shot at winning.

U.S. Women’s Open Player Betting Odds:
There are several great players playing in this weeks LPGA Tour golf tournament. Below are the top 12 players predicted to win with the lowest odds at Ladbrokes.com.

    C Kerr 9/1
    Ji-Yia Shin 10/1
    Ai Miyazato 10/1
    S Pettersen 12/1

    Song-Hee Kim 16/1
    In Kyung Kim 20/1
    Y Tseng 20/1
    P Creamer 20/1

    Germany vs Spain Prediction:
The 2010 FIFA World Cup is down to the final 4 teams, Uruguay vs Netherlands and Germany vs Spain. The semifinals are anticipated to be exceptional games, and much build up is rising to see which two teams will be battling for the World Cup!

As you can see by the betting odds, this game is scheduled to be a much closer match of the 2 semifinal games. Germany destroyed Argentina in the quarterfinals 4-0, and Spain won a close match against Paraguay, beating them 1-0. Before the 2010 World Cup started, Spain was more of a favorite than Germany. However, Germany has been steam-rolling their competition and are looking to keep that momentum going!

In the Germany vs Spain match-up, I predict it being extremely exciting and an extremely close game. My opinion, this is the championship game of the World Cup. These are the 2 best teams that remain, and whoever wins this game will win it all. With that being said, Spain’s experience is going to carry them into the winners circle. Germany’s strong play and confidence will slowly diminish throughout the match, and in the end, Spain beats Germany in a high scoring game.

    Prediction:
Spain Beats Germany and I take the Over

    2009 Winner:
    Steve Stricker

    2010 John Deere Classic Review:
This week’s PGA TOUR golf tournament is the John Deere Classic in Illinois. The venue is once again TPC Deere Run, one of the many spectacular TPC golf properties. Steve Stricker won this golf tournament in 2009 and it’s great to see him back defending his title after having a few injuries this year, and the fact this event is the week before the British Open at St. Andrews.

    John Deere Classic Picks:
First of all, players should thank Justin Rose for not playing in this tournament; he would be the heavy favorite in my book after winning Jack’s and Tiger’s tournament in the last month. Also, Tiger and Phil are playing elsewhere this week and will be prepping for the third major of 2010, the British Open at St. Andrews.

Now, as for the John Deere Classic, I like Zach Johnson, Davis Love III and Rickie Fowler in my first wave. My second wave of picks would be Stricker, Choi, and Bubba Watson. This golf course sets up great for all these players, Johnson and Stricker always play well at TPC Deere Run, sets up good for Fowler and Choi’s game, and Love and Watson have been playing great golf as of late. Those are my picks, lets see how they do.

John Deere Classic Player Betting Odds:
There are several great players playing in this weeks PGA TOUR golf tournament. Below are the top 13 players predicted to win with the lowest odds at Bodog.com.

    Prediction:Rafael Nadal
    Rafael Nadal Beats Tomas Berdych

    Date:
Sunday July 4, 2010 at 9:00am Eastern Time

Tomas Berdych vs Rafael Nadal Prediction:
Well, here we are, the 2010 Wimbledon Men’s Championship Game, Tomas Berdych vs Rafael Nadal. Their has been much anticipation leading to this final game and I think most are surprised to see this match-up, at least regarding Berdych. However, Tomas Berdych has been playing outstanding and rightfully deserves to be in this position. Most thought Roger Federer would be playing in this game, but all greats can’t win all the time.

Rafael Nadal was the #2 ranked tennis player going into Wimbledon, and Tomas Berdych was #12. Nadal defeated the tough competitor Andy Murray in the semifinals; 6-4, 7-6, 6-4. Berdych won a similar match against Novak Djokovic in the semis; 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. Both players dominated their opponents and won in straight sets, no surprise to see them battling each other now for the trophy.

My prediction for Tomas Berdych vs Rafael Nadal is simple, Nadal wins. In my opinion, Nadal is a much better player overall and is playing like he wants it more. To me its about heart and emotion, and Nadal is just more hungry to win Wimbledon in 2010!

    Prediction:
    Rafael Nadal Beats Tomas Berdych

    Paraguay vs Spain Prediction:
The 2010 FIFA World Cup is down to the final 8 teams. It’s starting to get exciting and there is much surprise on who made the quarterfinals. Several of the favorites have already been eliminated and there has also been lots of controversy on goals, some counted that shouldn’t have and some that weren’t goals that counted as goals. In my opinion, incorporate the technology we have today and input instant replay like most other major sports have done. Problem solved.

As you can see by the odds listed at soccer betting sites, Spain is the heavy favorite over Paraguay. Also to note, of the four games being played to advance to the semifinals, Spain has the highest spread in odds. In my opinion, Spain is the favorite of the final 8 teams and has the best chance of winning the World Cup.

In the Spain vs Paraguay battle, I predict Spain to dominate the entire game and control the overall flow on offense and defense. Spain has played exceptional up to this point and Paraguay has showed several flaws throughout the World Cup, especially on offense. If Paraguay wants a chance at beating Spain they need to have a much more aggressive attack on offense. Spain will beat Paraguay to advance to the semifinals in a low scoring game.

    Prediction:
Spain Beats Paraguay and I take the Under

    2010 Wimbledon Semifinal Matches:
We are down to the semifinal matches for the men and women at Wimbledon. Their have been several upsets this year including Rodick and Federer for the men, and Venus Williams for the women.

The women will play their matches on July 1, 2010, while the men play on July 2, 2010. The first match for the women is Vera Zvonareva vs Tsvetana Pironkova. Both have been playing very well, and Zvonareva is the favorite to win. The second match is Serena Williams vs Petra Kvitova. Serena was the favorite going into Wimbledon and hasn’t let anyone down thus far. She is a heavy favorite in this match as you can see by the betting odds listed above.

As for the men, match 1 will consist of Tomas Berdych vs Novak Djokovic. This should be an extremely close match, and you might as well flip a coin to pick the winner, just look at the odds. Match 2 will be Andy Murray vs Rafael Nadal. After looking at the betting odds for this match, I was very surprised not to see Nadal a larger favorite. In my opinion, Nadal is not only a big favorite to win this match but the favorite to win it all.
